Training and Development
Development begins at hiring, when our new employees receive a customized orientation and training program suited to their education, experience and position with the firm. Employees are also assigned a buddy/mentor during their first year to help them acclimate.

Continuous learning gives Warren Averett a distinctive advantage. Our goal is to meet the professional development needs of all teammates so they continue to be experts in their chosen field. Team members can take advantage of learning opportunities both inside and outside of the firm, including industry-oriented training and soft skills training such as public speaking and business networking.

Additionally, we expect our accounting and consulting team members to be or be working toward becoming Certified Public Accountants within the first two years of hire, or within two years of becoming exam qualified. To demonstrate our commitment to these efforts, the firm maintains a CPA Exam Benefit Program, to assist with this process.

Advancement
We believe people should be compensated and promoted according to the value they produce for our clients and our firm. As a result, our career path model is not based on the traditional hierarchical model but on one we call the Value Contribution Model, in which we have identified four areas that define our business activities.
