History Warren Averett, along with combined predecessor firms, has served clients across the U.S. and beyond for over 50 years, consistently leading the markets in which we practice. Our Firm has strengthened its presence in the Southeast over the last few years by joining successful firms together across Alabama, Florida and Georgia, becoming the Top Pacesetter in Growth among U.S. accounting firms in 2013. Warren Averett seized the opportunity to expand into Huntsville’s thriving North Alabama market in 2011 joining forces with White, Fleming & Co., one of Huntsville most prestigious, long-standing firms. Warren Averett was the first significantly sized, Alabama-based CPA firm to take up residence in the Huntsville market affording the Firm opportunities to broaden services in the Aerospace and Defense, Life Sciences, Technology and Biotechnology industries. In 2012, the combination of Alabama-based Warren, Averett, Kimbrough & Marino and Wilson, Price, Barranco, Blankenship & Billingsley with Florida-based O’Sullivan Creel gave rise to a new driving force in the Southeast. All three firms recognized, as many firms have, that their clients and the environment in which they operate had become more complex and challenging. Clients are multi-state, multinational, multi-line of business — so combining resources allowed the Firm to serve clients better, offering them the resources they need to thrive. Warren Averett continued to expand its southeastern footprint in 2013 with the addition of two high-performing firms in Gifford, Hillegass & Ingwersen (GH&I) of Atlanta and Pender Newkirk & Co. of Tampa. The Atlanta and Tampa markets are poised for growth and opportunity which will benefit our clients, as well as our professionals. The combined resources, technical and industry expertise and business community reach, of all three firms made this strategic move beneficial for all involved. Currently, Warren Averett operates out of 15 office locations across Alabama, Florida and Georgia, with affiliate locations in Houston and the Cayman Islands. For a complete listing of all locations and introductions to local markets and leadership, visit our Locations page. While Warren Averett has grown through a number of mergers over the years, and expanded in size and geographic reach, our focus remains on how to use the combined expertise and resources created through this growth to create value for our client base. At the end of the day, our goal is to add value for our clients and opportunity for our people. We will continue to explore any solution that moves us towards these goals.
