Warren Averett’s Heather Scott Becomes Certified Valuation Analyst

BIRMINGHAM, AL – April 2, 2013 – Heather Scott, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) recently became a Certified Valuation Analyst® (CVA).

In his announcement, National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA®) Chief Executive Officer, Parnell Black, MBA, CPA, CVA noted, “The designation is an indication to the business, professional and legal communities that Heather Scott has met NACVA’s rigorous standards of professionalism, expertise, objectivity and integrity in the field of business valuation, litigation support and related consulting disciplines. She can be proud of the fact that NACVA’s CVA and AVA (Accredited Valuation Analyst) designations are the only valuation credentials accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA),” Black added.

To become accredited by NACVA, the candidate is required to successfully complete an intensive training and testing process. Certified Valuation Analysts provide business valuation and litigation consulting services, mostly on behalf of attorneys. They are uniquely qualified by virtue of the knowledge they’ve gained earning their CPA and CVA designations, their experience in tax, audit accounting for small businesses and financial analysis they have developed in dealing with the complexities involved in providing business valuation and litigation consulting services.
