Jim Lazenby Obtains Accredited Estate Planner Certification

Warren Averett, LLC, Certified Public Accountants and Advisors, is pleased to announce that Principal, James “Jim” R. Lazenby, CPA, has earned an Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designation.

The AEP® designation is awarded by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) to recognize credentialed estate planning professionals who meet stringent requirements of education, experience, knowledge, professional reputation and character. The AEP® designation is only available to attorneys (JD), Chartered Life Underwriters (CLU®), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planners™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultants (ChFC®) and Certified Trust and Financial Analysts (CTFA). All designees must embrace the team concept of estate planning and adhere to the NAEPC Code of Ethics, and are expected to participate in an annual renewal and re-certification process.

Lazenby has been employed with Warren Averett since 2000 and serves as a Principal the Firm’s Estate & Trust Services Division, providing corporate, partnership, individual, estate trust and gift tax services to his clients. He also specializes in Family Limited Partnerships, individual and estate tax planning and charitable planning.
