Warren Averett Asset Management is proud to announce that Justin Russell was named one of the Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40, Class of 2016. Russell was profiled in the Birmingham Business Journal’s Feb. 12 issue. The Birmingham Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” list recognizes up and coming executives, innovators and thought leaders who will shape the future of Birmingham. The 2016 class includes men and women under the age of 40 who make significant career achievements and have demonstrated social responsibility through volunteerism. These men and women are the new generation of Birmingham business leaders. Russell serves as Member and Chief Operating Officer of Warren Averett Asset Management. He has been with the Firm since 2006 and his primary responsibilities include developing financial plans and managing investment portfolios for high net worth families and private foundations, as well as overseeing the Asset Management division as the Firm Wide Service Area Leader. Russell also serves as a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee, Asset Allocation Committee and Executive Committee. Outside of Warren Averett, Russell serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham and the Homewood City Schools Foundation. He also volunteers with other members of the Asset Management team at Restoration Academy. He resides in Homewood with his wife and daughter.
