Warren Averett, LLC, Certified Public Accountants and Advisors, is pleased to announce that Mort O’Sullivan, CPA was named 1 of 20 appointments to the State University System of Florida boards of trustees. The trustees were selected following a lengthy application period and evaluation process devised to select the uppermost candidates. The trustees span universities across the system and are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate and to the members attending a Board of Governors orientation session. Trustees are responsible for establishing first-rate education programs, providing oversight for university administration and establishing university-wide policies in compliance with Board of Governors’ regulations and applicable law. O’Sullivan was re-appointed to the University of West Florida board, having served since 2011.

He is a founding member of the former Gulf Coast firm, O’Sullivan Creel, which merged with Warren Averett in Jan. 2012. O’Sullivan is also a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and leads the Firm’s Gulf Coast BP Claims Disaster Recovery Team. He has over 38 years of experience in public accounting.
