On November 18, 2020, Governor Kay Ivey announced the Revive Plus initiative, a $200 million grant program that is intended to help Alabama support small businesses that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The State of Alabama will offer cash grants in an amount up to $20,000 for small businesses, nonprofits and faith-based organizations with fewer than 50 employees to assist in covering qualifying expenses incurred for operational disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the application period will be open from noon on November 23, 2020 through noon on December 4, 2020.
