Warren Averett, LLC is pleased to announce that Cindy Ethridge, of the Firm’s Atlanta office, has been appointed as the new Atlanta Habitat chairperson.
“Our new board appointments support Atlanta Habitat’s trajectory to expand our reach in neighborhoods on the Westside and to build affordable, innovative developments that will help us to change the economic mobility of low-income families in Atlanta and South Fulton,” says Lisa Y. Gordon, Atlanta Habitat president and CEO. “I am honored and thrilled to have a powerful board to affirm our mission to serve families.”
The Atlanta Habitat Board of Directors is a committee of 25 volunteers from diverse backgrounds who are leaders in the community. The board is responsible for establishing the overall direction of the organization including strategic goals, finances and government policies.
“It is an honor to serve as a member of, and now lead, the Atlanta Habitat Board of Directors. Our board members are all dedicated and talented people who believe in helping families achieve their homeownership goals and helping neighborhoods become thriving communities,” says Ethridge. “It is an exciting time to be part of the board as the organization expands its reach to impact more families and communities.”
Ethridge is a Member of the Firm’s Audit Division, specializing in nonprofit clients. She has extensive experience in systems analysis, implementation of internal controls, financial statement audits, reviews and Uniform Guidance (A-133) audits. Ethridge is committed and passionate about the Atlanta community. She is a board member of the City of Refuge and an audit committee member of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Ethridge is also a graduate of Leadership Atlanta and was the recipient of the Womenetics POW Award.
