Cullman is a city of character, a place with the culture of a small town and a rich history dating back to 1873. Located in Cullman County, 45 minutes north of Birmingham and 45 minutes south of Huntsville, this North Alabama city was built on southern hospitality. Cullman was named “Best Place in Alabama to Raise Children” in 2012 by Bloomberg BusinessWeek, making it an ideal location for Warren Averett to do business.
Our team is vested in the community and in its citizens. We promote the active involvement of our team members on a variety of boards and community outreach organizations, and our staff is proud to serve and improve the area in which we live and raise our families.
Founded by Col. John G. Cullmann as a German refugee colony, Cullman proudly celebrates its heritage each year during Oktoberfest. And its 1,400 residents now also celebrate their courage and perseverance after the devastating tornadoes of April 27, 2011. While many businesses and homes were damaged or destroyed, the people of Cullman displayed a strong sense of community and rose from the devastation to even greater heights than before.
Cullman offers opportunity for international industry, and companies flock to our city because of its large work force base, business-friendly policies and low operating costs. Named a Top Three metropolitan city in the country for economic growth, our city’s work force and economy continue to grow.
