Warren Averett’s Atlanta Office Hosts Business Edge Lunch
Warren Averett’s Atlanta accounting and advisory office recently hosted its annual Business Edge Lunch, an event for local executives looking to stay ahead of the curve.
On February 6, 2025, over 30 attendees gathered in Warren Averett’s office for networking, lunch and a presentation. After networking, Alfie Meek, Ph.D., the Director of the Center for Economic Development Research at the Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI²), took the stage and gave an economic update and forecast.
Dr. Meek has over 25 years of expertise in economic and fiscal impact analysis and community-based research. He is also an accomplished speaker, who often presents on economic development efforts. During his presentation, Dr. Meek discussed federal funding, inflation, housing, employment rates and more. He also touched on what business owners can expect for the local area and the state.
To end the lunch, Kim Hartsock, CPA, Local Partner in Charge, moderated a short question and answer session.
