Chris Branch and Eric Byron Spotlighted in the Birmingham Business Journal’s NextGen 50 Awards
Chris Branch, CPA, a Member and Eric Byron, CPA, a Senior Manager in the Tax Division in our Birmingham accounting and advisory office, have been recognized as honorees for the Birmingham Business Journal’s (BBJ) NextGen 50 awards.
The NextGen 50 awards honor emerging leaders across the Birmingham business community. This year, instead of multiple categories and special sections, the BBJ has consolidated all industries into one comprehensive NextGen 50 feature. Honorees represent a wide range of sectors, and recipients were selected based on their company contributions, industry impact, key leadership potential and community advocacy.
In early November, award recipients gathered for an evening of networking and recognition, where they participated in three interactive sessions designed to spark connections and strengthen skills.
“We’re proud to see Eric and Chris recognized among Birmingham’s NextGen leaders,” said Megan Randolph, CPA, a Member and the firmwide Tax Area Leader. “Both have demonstrated strong technical expertise and leadership within our Tax Division, and I know they will continue to make meaningful contributions to our clients and community in the years ahead.”
Eric is an active member of the firm’s Construction Industry Group, which includes over 60 seasoned professionals who specialize in helping construction businesses navigate regulatory shifts, economic trends and operational challenges. The team has regularly made Construction Executive’s Top 50 Construction Accounting Firms list.
Eric’s daily responsibilities include compliance, financial statement compilations and reviews, as well as consulting on specific client issues.
Chris leads the firm’s Opportunity Zones program efforts and was named as one of the top 25 Opportunity Zone Tax Specialists from across the country. He has more than 10 years of public accounting experience, and he’s a member of the firm’s Construction and Real Estate Industry Groups.
