Carol Phillips Recognized as One of the Birmingham Business Journal’s 2023 Top Birmingham Women
Carol Phillips, CPA, CFE, a Member in our Birmingham accounting and advisory firm, has been named as a 2023 Top Birmingham Women honoree by the Birmingham Business Journal.
The Top Birmingham Women award honors women who have made a lasting impact on the community and business world through their hard work and career success.
Carol Phillips joined Warren Averett in 2004. She has extensive experience in coordinating, directing and supervising large government and nonprofit engagements. Phillips oversees the majority of the firm’s governmental and higher education audit engagements and serves as the chair of the Public Sector Practice Group.
In the article that spotlights this year’s award recipients, Phillips and the other Birmingham women of influence discussed career motivations, trajectories, challenges and work-life balance.
When asked about what drives her to succeed, Phillips said: “I love what I do. I am driven by a desire to make a positive impact, both with our clients and with the younger people at my firm. There is nothing more satisfying to me than being able to contribute to someone’s growth or well-being, and I continually look for opportunities to do this in my community, throughout the firm and for my clients.”
