Warren Averett Names New Financial Services Industry Group Leader

Joshua Bowen, CPA, CITP, CGMA, CAMS, has been named the new leader of the firm’s Financial Services Industry Group.

The Financial Services Industry Group at Warren Averett serves banks, credit unions, insurance organizations, registered investment advisors and other financial institutions across the Southeast. Through industry-focused experience and a collaborative approach, the team helps clients navigate challenges, manage risk and plan for the future.

Joshua succeeds Jeff Burleson, CPA, who has helped grow the group and expand its impact across the firm and the financial services industry. Jeff will continue to be actively involved with the Financial Services Industry Group and remain a resource for clients and team members across the firm.

“Josh has a strong understanding of the challenges facing financial institutions today and a genuine commitment to serving both clients and team members,” said Jeff. “His industry experience, leadership and passion for helping others make him a natural fit to lead, and I am excited to see the group continue to grow.”

Joshua Bowen is a Member in the firm’s Audit Division and has extensive experience serving financial institutions across the Southeast. He provides auditing, attestation and consulting services with a focus on enterprise risk management as well as Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance consulting.

“I’ve spent my career working alongside financial institutions and helping them navigate an ever-changing industry,” said Joshua. “It’s been rewarding to build relationships with clients and team members along the way, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead this group as we continue serving financial institutions throughout the Southeast.”
