Warren Averett Animal Advocacy Group (WAAAG) is an employee-led and Firm-wide group that is passionate about having a profound and positive impact in the lives of animals and encouraging more Warren Averett employees to get into fostering and volunteering with animals.
The puppy playdate fundraiser was orchestrated by WAAAG’s Fort Walton Beach accountants and advisors with the goal of pulling special needs dogs from local kill shelters. Kerry Duval, a Talent Coordinator in our Fort Walton Beach office and the leader of WAAAG, set the goal of raising enough funds to save two dogs.
The puppy playdate was hosted at the Fort Walton Beach office, and three puppies that Kerry was fostering at her own home were brought to the office for an afternoon of stress relief for the team members. To participate and to raise funds, the Fort Walton Beach accountants, advisors and team members made a monetary donation in exchange for a puppy-filled break from their workdays.
The Firm raised $290—enough to cover the sponsorship fee for two dogs. In honor of our Firm’s fundraising efforts, Saving with Soul named the two dogs that the WAAAG group saved “Warren” and “Averett.” Warren and Averett are now safe at Saving with Soul!
Saving with Soul is a fast-growing group of devoted animal rescuers based in the Panhandle of Florida that specialize in finding forever homes for shelter animals through extensive foster programs and weekly adoptive events.
Thanks to all of our Fort Walton Beach CPAs, advisors and professionals who participated in the puppy playdate, donated to support Saving with Soul and made a difference in the lives of Warren and Averett!
