In his article, Manufacturing: The Rising Tide Lifting All of Our Boats, Chancey explores how professionals and businesses can help Alabama’s growing manufacturing industry thrive, which in turn boosts the Alabama economy.
He specifically mentions four areas where manufacturers may need help in an increasingly competitive market, including recruiting employees and retaining talent, fully exploring tax credits and incentives, optimizing efficiencies, and tailored planning.
In reference to how manufacturers benefit from an expert’s help during the recruitment process, Chancey says: “Securing good employees is only half the battle; retaining talent is a challenge that takes proactive measures.
“Every organization in the manufacturing industry is unique, so expert professional firms take a deep dive to help clients develop retention strategies instead of relying on best practices or ideas from other companies.”
Chancey warns that the manufacturing industry is crucial to the economy. He encourages business owners to take time to identify how their businesses can help manufacturers—and Alabama’s economy—grow.
