Kathy Wales Participates in Leadership Montgomery’s Torchbearers Class
Kathy Wales, CPA, a Supervisor in the Audit Division of the firm’s Montgomery accounting and advisory office, is participating in the 2023 Leadership Montgomery’s Torchbearers Class.
Established in 2008 as a response to Montgomery’s need to attract and retain an educated population of young professionals, the Torchbearers Class program is a nine-month class that was designed for young professionals who are involved in their communities and want to enhance their careers.
Completing the program equips young leaders with the necessary skills and connections that they can use to propel themselves into the next stages of community leadership and professional success.
The program equips participants with the tools they need to increase their community involvement and challenges them to examine personal beliefs, seek facts and work with others. They are also exposed to critical community issues to enhance their understanding of Montgomery and how they can best impact the community in positive ways.
The 2023 Leadership Montgomery Torchbearers Class started in March and participants will graduate in November.
“Kathy is such a valuable member of our team here in Montgomery,” said Sandy Coaker, CPA, Office Managing Member in Montgomery. “Leadership Montgomery’s programs always have such a significant impact, and I look forward to seeing how Kathy takes what the Torchbearers program teaches her and uses it to impact her clients and the local community.”
