Megan Randolph Featured in Business Alabama
Megan Randolph, CPA, a Member of the Tax Division in Warren Averett’s Birmingham accounting and advisory office and the firmwide Tax Area Leader, was recently featured in a Business Alabama article.

Business Alabama’s article, Alabama Accountants Offer Advice on Prepping for Tax Time, offered recommendations for business owners during tax season to help them ensure the tax preparation process goes smoothly.
Various tax experts weighed in with recommendations to stay organized, start early and communicate regularly. Not only is it important for business owners to stay on top of their books throughout the year to avoid any last-minute catching-up, but experts also stressed the importance of keeping records ready and compliant.
Early and regular communication can build successful relationships between the business and the tax preparer and can minimize any complications and surprises during the annual process.
Randolph explains: “Planning ahead of any transaction is vital and can help ensure taxes are minimized. The tax preparation process should really be the culmination of planning with your client and being aware of their business, any new issues that arose during the year and tax projections prepared during the year.”
Megan Randolph joined the firm in 2006. She specializes in serving the federal and state tax needs of large nonprofit and governmental entities, including municipalities, healthcare organizations and universities. She serves on the firm’s Operations Board as the firmwide Tax Area Leader and is responsible for managing all of the firm’s Tax Division operations.
