Mindy Rankin Selected for the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Board of Directors
Mindy Porep Rankin, CPA, CCD, of the firm’s Panama City accounting and advisory office, has been selected to serve on the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (FICPA) Board of Directors. This is the second time that she has been appointed to serve on this board.
“It is an honor to have been selected to serve on FICPA’s Board of Directors for the second time,” said Rankin. “My time on the Florida Board of Accountancy was so fulfilling, and it helped me learn so much more about Florida’s accounting industry. I can’t wait to use what I’ve learned to further support FICPA, the Panama City community and other CPAs throughout the state.”
FICPA is the premier professional organization that represents Florida’s CPAs. They serve the needs and enhance the values of their members, while supporting professional standards and advocating on behalf of the accounting profession. Their Board of Directors implements policies and oversees the Institute’s activities. Each officer serves a two-year term.
Mindy Rankin is a Member in the firm’s Tax Division, and has more than 11 years of public accounting experience. Rankin’s primary practice area is in the construction industry, where she provides reviews, compilations and assistance to contractors on percentage completion accounting as they obtain bonding for projects.
In 2016, Rankin was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to serve on the Florida Board of Accountancy and completed a four-year term. Rankin is heavily involved in her community, where she has served on the Board of Directors of Girls, Inc. of Bay County for six years and where she is currently the Treasurer of the Panama City Chapter of Troy University Alumni. She resides in Panama City with her husband and their three Siberian huskies.
