Mindy Rankin Receives Two Awards at FICPA MEGA Conference
Mindy Rankin, CPA, CCD, a Member in the Tax Division of the firm’s Panama City accounting and advisory office, was recently recognized for her outstanding service and advocacy at the Florida Institute of CPAs’ (FICPA) 2025 MEGA Conference.
Held June 9–12, 2025, at Universal Orlando’s Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, the conference brought together accounting professionals from across the state for continuing education, professional development and networking.
During the event, Mindy was presented with two awards: the Special Chair Service Award and the Legislative Key Person Contact (KPC) Advocates of the Year Award.
The Special Chair Service Award is given to individuals who provide exceptional support to the FICPA, particularly during challenging periods. It recognizes those who stand with the organization to protect and advance the CPA profession in Florida.
In addition, Mindy was named a KPC Advocate of the Year for her efforts in opposing a proposed deregulation bill that would have impacted CPA licensure requirements in Florida.
“I’m honored to have received both the Special Chair Service Award and the KPC Advocates of the Year Award,” Mindy said. “It’s incredibly meaningful to be recognized by my peers and by an organization I deeply respect.”
Mindy has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting. She specializes in tax planning and compliance for closely held businesses and their owners.
Warren Averett congratulates Mindy on these well-deserved accolades and thanks her for her continued leadership and service in the profession.
