Warren Averett’s Montgomery Office Supports the Humane Society of Elmore County
Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors’ Montgomery office recently supported the Humane Society of Elmore County through Warren Averett Animal Advocacy Group.
Warren Averett Animal Advocacy Group (WAAAG) is an employee-led, Firm-wide group of team members that is passionate about:
- Getting more Warren Averett employees interested in volunteering with and fostering animals; and
- Positively impacting the lives of animals.
WAAAG members throughout the Firm’s footprint have been working on service projects that support animal welfare organizations in their local communities. Our Montgomery accountants and advisors decided to support the Humane Society of Elmore County through a fun pet photo contest.
The Humane Society of Elmore County has been operating for almost 20 years, and the employees there work every day to provide a safe and humane environment for the animals in their care until they can find their forever homes.
There were 37 entries to WAAAG’s pet photo contest, in which team members submitted pictures of their cats, dogs and even a horse. Team members paid an entry fee to participate, and each vote raised $1.
When the votes and entries were totaled, Warren Averett’s Montgomery accountants, advisors and professionals raised $2,006 to support the Humane Society of Elmore County. The winning pet, Rowdy, is pictured below. He received the title Warren Averett’s Cutest Pet 2021.
Thanks to all of our Montgomery CPAs, advisors and professionals who participated in the photo contest, donated to support the Humane Society of Elmore County and made a difference in the lives of these animals.
