Montgomery Young Professionals Volunteer With Children’s Harbor
Team members in Warren Averett’s Montgomery accounting and advisory office recently volunteered with Children’s Harbor at their Lake Martin location.
Children’s Harbor provides mental health services, educational support, interactive activities and more for children with serious illnesses and their families at no cost. The nonprofit was established in 1989 with a mission to strengthen families through refuge, respite and resources.
During July 2024, the firm’s Montgomery Young Professionals gathered at Children’s Harbor’s Lake Martin Campus—a facility where the children and their families can reconnect, as well as meet other families with similar diagnoses.
The Young Professionals painted benches in an outdoor area where the nonprofit hosts Sunday church services.
“As Montgomery residents, it is so important to us that we volunteer and give back to our community,” said Jeri Groce, CPA, the advisor for the Montgomery Young Professionals. “I am so thankful for the young professionals who dedicated their time and energy to volunteer with Children’s Harbor, and I look forward to more opportunities like this in the future.”
Thanks to all team members who volunteered!
