Montgomery Young Professionals Volunteer With Landmarks Foundation of Montgomery
Team members in Warren Averett’s Montgomery accounting and advisory office recently volunteered with the Landmarks Foundation of Montgomery (the Landmarks Foundation).
Established in 1967, the Landmarks Foundation of Montgomery is a nonprofit organization that fosters, encourages and leads historic preservation efforts in the Montgomery community.
During May 2024, Warren Averett’s Montgomery Young Professionals gathered at Lucas Tavern, a historic tavern built prior to 1818 that played a vital role in the settling of Alabama in the early 19th century. The Young Professionals pulled weeds from the garden, filled composting stalls, tended to the herb garden and raked leaves. All of these are vital tasks in ensuring the preservation of Montgomery’s historic landmarks.
“I am so proud of the young professionals who dedicated their time and energy to volunteer with the Landmarks Foundation,” said Jeri Groce, CPA, the leader of the Montgomery Young Professionals. “The Landmarks Foundation’s mission of preserving Central Alabama’s history is so important and volunteering with them reflects our commitment to our community. I look forward to more volunteer activities like this in the future.”
Thanks to all team members who volunteered.
Warren Averett’s Montgomery Young Professionals is an internal group of team members in the early and mid-stages of their careers, who are committed to community engagement and building meaningful relationships.
