Written on August 16, 2022

Warren Averett’s own Claiborne Morris, CPA, CCIFP, and Will Aderholt, CPA, CCIFP, of the firm’s Birmingham accounting and advisory office, have been designated as Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals (CCIFP), a standard of excellence for construction financial management.

For over 17 years, the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals (ICCIFP) has developed and maintained the CCIFP certification based on the current construction landscape and focuses on the competencies and knowledge that construction financial professionals need to lead in today’s industry.

Aderholt is a Member in the Tax Division and serves as the leader of the firm’s Construction industry practice. Serving Warren Averett clients for more than 14 years, Will specializes in tax planning and consulting for closely held and private-equity-owned businesses.

“Earning my CCIFP certification felt like the natural next step when it came to serving my clients in the most holistic way possible,” said Aderholt. “Warren Averett is proud to serve many of the top construction and design firms in the Southeast. I am proud of the commitment reflected by earning these construction industry designations.”

Morris joined the firm in 2012, where he is a Member in the Tax Division and a member of the firm’s Construction, Real Estate and Transaction Advisory Groups. His primary responsibilities include tax preparation, planning and ensuring that planning strategies are executed.

“It is great to now have my CCIFP certification,” said Morris. “I wanted to increase my expertise in the field so that I could provide clients with sound advice on matters that expand beyond tax planning. This CCIFP certification has allowed me to become a more well-rounded advisor so that I can continue to provide the best service possible.”
