Paul Perry Discusses Vendor Management on LumiQ’s Podcast

Paul Perry, FHFMA, CISM, CITP, CDA, CDPSE, of the firm’s Risk Advisory & Assurance Services Group in the Birmingham accounting and advisory office, was recently featured on one of LumiQ’s professional development podcast episodes.

LumiQ is a professional development podcasting app, and the podcast episodes provide continuing education for certified public accountants in the United States and Canada. The podcast features experienced business leaders who share their stories and provide listeners with firsthand insights in a casual and conversational format.

In Vendor Management: Protecting Your Business While Outsourcing, Perry joined host Emily Nesbitt to discuss the importance of vendor management and how to effectively evaluate, prioritize and maintain vendors.

Throughout the episode, Perry discussed vendor management and its importance to the success of an organization. He warned of the risks of outsourcing functions and what can go wrong without properly managing vendor relations. He also outlined the steps involved in identifying, assessing and maintaining vendors. Finally, he discussed the role of SOC reports in evaluating vendors.
