Warren Averett’s Pensacola Office Supports the Pensacola Humane Society’s Pet Resource Center

PensacolaWarren Averett CPAs and Advisors’ Pensacola office, through Warren Averett Animal Advocacy Group, recently supported the Pensacola Humane Society’s Pet Resource Center.

Warren Averett Animal Advocacy Group (WAAAG) is a group of employees throughout the Firm that was established to impact the lives of animals and get more Warren Averett team members interested in fostering and volunteering with animals.

Members of WAAAG have recently been hard at work on service projects supporting animal welfare organizations in local communities. Our Pensacola accountants and advisors decided to support the Pensacola Humane Society’s Pet Resource Center through a supply drive that was organized by Natalie Bonifay, a Pensacola Accounting Services Associate.

The Pet Resource Center is dedicated to keeping pets in their homes and out of shelters. They help pet owners provide food, deal with behavioral issues and can even help rehome animals if the owners are unable to care for them.

Through the supply drive, Warren Averett’s Pensacola accountants, advisors and professionals were able to donate 316 pounds of pet food, dog treats, dog toys and other supplies that will help keep the Pet Resource Center functioning and thriving. They exceeded—and almost doubled—their goal of $250 that went towards the purchase of the food and supplies.

“I am overwhelmed by the generosity of the Pensacola office,” said Bonifay. “This is the shelter’s busiest season of the year, and it was rewarding to give back and help them rescue and home more animals.”

Thanks to all of our Pensacola CPAs, advisors and professionals who donated food and resources to support the Pensacola Humane Society and made a difference in the lives of these animals.
