Susan Key Featured in MoneyGeek’s Savings Guide

MoneyGeek’s guide covers how shoppers can prepare for the 2023 holiday season and how they can implement tips and tricks throughout the year to bring down their holiday bottom line.
In her section of the guide, Key explores how shoppers can establish a holiday budget by asking themselves how much they have to spend, making a list of gift recipients for whom they are shopping and setting individual gift budgets for gift recipients.
When it comes to determining a yearly budget, Key says: “If possible, set your budget for the following year after Christmas each year so that you can see what you have spent and plan for the next year on a monthly basis, making that budget easier to manage. Try to set that budget without using credit cards so you don’t create any debt.”
Key warns that establishing who you are shopping for is important. Making a list and reviewing it carefully can help you determine if they are any people that you may need to remove from the list, which can help cut down on overspending.
