Warren Averett Recognized by University of West Florida for Longstanding Support
Warren Averett was recently honored by the University of West Florida (UWF) for its decades-long commitment to supporting students and programs within the Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business.
Warren Averett’s relationship with UWF began in 1986 with a gift from the Pensacola accounting and advisory firm to the university’s accounting and finance department. Since then, the firm has contributed more than $250,000 to the university, primarily through a business endowment.
These contributions have helped fund student scholarships, professional development opportunities and initiatives such as the Executive Mentor Program and the Cox Communications Trading Lab. The endowment has also supported faculty development and facility enhancements that benefit both students and the broader Pensacola community.
“We’re grateful for the opportunity to invest in the future of our profession and the communities we serve,” said Cyndi Warren, CPA, Local Partner in Charge – Growth for the firm’s Pensacola and Daphne offices. “Many of our team members graduated from UWF and are building successful careers. We continue to see the positive impact of the university’s programs on our firm and our community every day.”
Warren Averett is proud to support UWF’s mission and remains committed to helping students grow into confident, capable professionals.
