Warren Averett’s Chris Branch Recognized as One of Birmingham’s Up-And-Coming Leaders
Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors is proud to announce the recognition of Chris Branch as one of Birmingham Business Journal’s (BBJ) up-and-coming leaders in key Birmingham industries. Branch was recognized alongside the other honorees at the #NextGenBHM Awards hosted at the Cahaba Brewing Company on January 23.
Winners of the #NextGenBHM Awards were selected from BBJs 2019 Rising Star series. The honorees were chosen based on their tangible achievements in their businesses and communities.
“Chris has been a driving force and leader of our Opportunity Zones program,” said Tommy Sisson, CPA Office Managing Member of the Birmingham office. “We are proud to have him on our team and excited about the work he’s doing to lead the way on this initiative.”
Branch is a Supervisor in the Firm’s Tax Division. He leads the Firm’s Opportunity Zones program efforts and was named as one of the Top 25 Opportunity Zone Tax Specialists from across the country. This group of distinguished winners excel in providing taxpayers and participants in the Opportunity Zones program with investment and consulting services. He has written educational white papers and blog articles on Opportunity Zones as well as presented insightful information at various events and webinars. Branch stays informed on the Opportunity Zone program regulations as they are released in order to provide investors and developers with the insight needed to make informed decisions.
