Warren Averett’s Hanny Akl Named to Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40

BIRMINGHAM (February 15, 2019) — Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors is pleased to announce that Hanny Akl, CPA, CFE, CEPA, CVGA, of the Firm’s Birmingham office, was named one of Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40, Class of 2019. Akl was profiled in the Birmingham Business Journal’s Feb. 8 issue.
The Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 recognizes the next generation of Birmingham business leaders, under the age of 40, who have made significant career achievements and demonstrated social responsibility. This class of leaders represents a group of men and women who lead in the workplace and within the community.
Akl leads the Firm’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, which focuses both on buy-side and sell-side transactions along with advising owners on creating value within their businesses. He is a leader in the Firm’s Technology and Life Sciences Industry Group where he is the Firm’s expert on software revenue recognition and other technical topics. Akl works with a wide variety of clients, including private equity, closely held and public companies. His industry experience is focused on software and technology-enabled companies, telecommunications, retail and distribution businesses and real estate. Akl resides in Birmingham with his wife and three kids and enjoys sports, the outdoors and traveling.
The 2019 Top 40 Under 40 will be recognized and celebrated during an awards reception on Thursday, February 21 at Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham.
