Derek Johnson joined Warren Averett in 2014 to launch the firm’s accounting recruiting subsidiary in Tampa. Today, he helps build lasting relationships between the firm and closely held, small‑ to mid‑size businesses seeking accounting services, including audits, reviews, compilations, and tax planning and preparation. As a business developer and member of the firm’s Growth Advisory Team, Derek plays a key role in guiding individuals and organizations through their first interactions with the firm. By taking time to understand each client’s goals, challenges and priorities, he helps connect them with the advisors, service teams and resources best suited to their needs.
