Warren Averett’s Anniston Team Supports Back to School Shopping Event
Warren Averett’s Anniston accounting and advisory office recently supported the Kiwanis Club of Anniston’s Back to School Shopping event.
The Kiwanis Club of Anniston was chartered over one hundred years ago, and members participate in projects and fundraisers that provide assistance to local community organizations.
The firm’s own Tim Wilson, CPA, is a member of the Anniston’s Kiwanis Club and is the chairman of their Back to School Shopping event.
Every year, the Back to School Shopping event supplies clothes, shoes and school supplies for over 80 children in need. To date, over 2,500 children have been served by the program.
During the event, each volunteer is paired with a child, and together they pick out clothes at a local clothing store that closes to the public during the event.
Our Anniston CPAs, advisors and business professionals purchased school supplies and assembled backpacks for each child. Some team members also shopped with the children.
“I am very passionate about the annual Back to School Shopping trip and feel blessed to be able to help impact the lives of children in our community,” said Tim Wilson, CPA. “As chairman of the event for the past 19 years, I have had the chance to watch how this program impacts our local children. I am also happy to see how excited everyone in our office gets when it comes to participating. I love seeing them live out our culture and value of sharing our success and can’t wait to see how we as an office look for other opportunities to give back to our community.”
Warren Averett thanks all team members who participated in this year’s Back to School Shopping event.
