Warren Averett’s Birmingham accounting and advisory office was recognized as the 2024 Best Place to Work in the Extra Large Company category by the Birmingham Business Journal. The Best Places to Work list recognizes and celebrates employers in Birmingham who have an outstanding workplace environment and company culture.

Finalists for this year’s Best Places to Work list were determined by a survey through Quantum Workplace, a third-party survey software company. The methodology assessed communication, manager effectiveness, personal engagement, team dynamics and more. These results were compiled and evaluated to determine the final list.

Earlier this month, the BBJ recognized all of the Best Places to Work finalists and announced the winning companies of all size categories at their annual awards event.

Several of our Birmingham CPAs, advisors and business professionals enjoyed the event held at the Finley Center, where they celebrated with other businesses committed to creating positive work environments. Attendees included Lacey Ezekiel, Claiborne Morris, CPA, CCIFP, Carol Phillips, CPA, CFE, Rusty Pickering, CPA, CSC, Jake Richardson, Stephen Schaaf, CPA, and Van Trefethen, CPA. Team members wore their firm apparel and enjoyed music, games and networking.

“It’s a privilege to once again be recognized as a Best Place to Work in Birmingham,” said Tommy Sisson, CPA, Managing Member of the Birmingham office. “Our firm strives to be forward-thinking and prioritize our team members through people-focused policies, a strong corporate culture and a supportive work environment. This award inspires us to continue enhancing our workplace for the benefit of all team members.”

Warren Averett has been a finalist and contender for the BBJ’s Best Places to Work awards since 2014.
