Warren Averett’s Birmingham Office Supports The Greater Birmingham Humane Society

Written by Warren Averett on June 5, 2025

Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors’ Birmingham accounting and advisory office recently supported the Greater Birmingham Humane Society through Warren Averett’s Animal Advocacy Group.

Warren Averett’s Animal Advocacy Group (WAAAG) includes employees who are passionate about impacting the lives of animals and getting more team members interested in volunteering and animal fostering.

Every year during the summer, WAAAG hosts Annual Days of Service as part of their goal to support and serve local communities and their pets. On these service days, team members throughout the firm’s footprint are encouraged to meet at a local shelter and volunteer.

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, and Thursday, May 22, 2025, our Birmingham accountants and advisors visited the Greater Birmingham Humane Society to walk dogs, socialize cats and help create comfy kennel bedding.

Since 1883, the Greater Birmingham Humane Society’s mission has been to promote the humane treatment of people and animals through education, advocacy and services.

“Volunteering is part of the culture at Warren Averett, and the members of our group have a special love for animals,” said Kevin Wang, CPA, CGFM, CITP, Warren Averett’s Director of Innovation and one of WAAAG’s leaders. “This was such a fun opportunity for our team members to spend time with some furry friends while making a difference.”

Thanks to all of our Birmingham team members who participated and made a difference in the lives of these animals.
