Chip Hoover Serves on Mississippi State University’s Adkerson School of Accountancy Advisory Council
Chip Hoover, CPA, a Member in the firm’s Birmingham accounting and advisory office, has been appointed to serve as the Chair for Mississippi State University’s Adkerson School of Accountancy (ASAC) Advisory Council. Hoover will serve a two-year term.
The ASAC Advisory Council exists to help faculty and stakeholders evaluate and plan a strategic path for the school to reach its long-term goals. Members are industry professionals who provide guidance on the management of curricular changes, identify marketplace needs and raise awareness on evolving professional and societal demands.
“As an alumnus of Mississippi State University and the Adkerson School of Accountancy, it is an honor to serve as Chair,” said Hoover. “I look forward to supporting the college I graduated from and helping the stakeholders execute their strategic plan to help the profession grow and thrive.”
Chip Hoover is a Member in the Audit Division and leads the firm’s Transportation Industry Group and the firm’s Mississippi Manufacturing Practice. Hoover joined the firm in 2005 and has over 17 years of public accounting experience. He serves closely held, family-owned and private-equity-backed businesses in a variety of industries. His primary focus is providing clients with operational, compliance and transaction advisory services.
