Heather Locklar Featured in Birmingham Business Journal
Heather Locklar, J.D., of Warren Averett’s Birmingham accounting and advisory office, was recently featured in an article in the Birmingham Business Journal.
The article is entitled “What’s Changing the Way Wealth Changes Hands? Advisers Weigh In” and covers how industry experts view the passage of generational wealth from baby boomers and the silent generation to millennials and Generation X over the next few decades.
Throughout the article, Locklar and other experts discussed how they expected clients to pass on wealth as well as other topics, such as donor-advised funds, charitable giving and generational priorities.
Locklar specifically mentioned the high rates of charitable giving in Birmingham and throughout all of Alabama. “We are very charitable as a state,” Locklar said, “and I think you’re going to see the giving only increase.”
