Lee Parks, CPA, a Member in the Audit Division of the firm’s Montgomery accounting and advisory office, contributed an article to a recent issue of CentrAL INC!
CentrAL INC! is a bimonthly publication that covers pertinent topics, trends and concerns that impact businesses in Montgomery and surrounding counties.
In his article, Five Ways Colleges and Universities Can Stay Financially Healthy in 2024, Parks explores how colleges can position themselves for future success.
By adjusting institutional practices based on the average student, revisiting budgets and containing costs, reviewing internal controls and processes, educating employees, and building long-term community connections, colleges and universities can prepare for future challenges.
Parks shared that it’s important to educate administrative and finance employees. He says: “Training your administrative and finance employees about financial best practices can be an incredible asset for your institution. Heightening your internal expertise can lead to improved decision making, richer leadership development and more innovative ideas from within.”
