The Legacy Class was designed over three decades ago for the purpose of bringing together leaders to study and solve critical issues that affect the Montgomery community.

The program is nine months long and utilizes the expertise of established community leaders, combined with site tours, panel interviews, interactive sessions and hot topic discussions to prompt participants to think critically about education, healthcare, the economy, public service sectors and the roles of the local, state and federal governments.

The Legacy experience also includes a small group project that is designed to directly impact the community and helps participants address an identified need.

Beringer is a Member in Warren Averett’s Tax Division. He has been with the firm since 2004 and has over 28 years of experience in public accounting. He specializes in corporate international tax planning, expatriate and U.S. nonresident tax planning and compliance. He is a leader in the firm’s International Practice and Technology Practice Groups. He resides in Montgomery with his wife and their two sons.

“The past nine months in Leadership Montgomery’s Legacy Class were incredibly valuable. I am grateful to have spent time learning about different ways I can impact my community with my peers,” said Beringer. “With the community awareness that I’ve gained and the increased involvement that I hope to continue in the future, I’m looking forward to providing even better service to the firm’s clients and my community.”
