GILTI and BEAT: What They Are and What They Mean for U.S. Multinational Corporations
Michael Beringer joined the firm in 2004 and is a Member in the firm’s Tax Division. Michael has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting and specializes in corporate international tax planning, expatriate and U.S. nonresident tax planning and compliance. He spent the first half of his career in Atlanta specializing in international corporate tax for a Big 4 accounting firm. He moved back to his hometown of Montgomery in 2004 to help develop the International Tax Practice Group at the Montgomery office. Michael’s other areas of focus are federal and state tax compliance for individuals and their businesses, specifically tailored towards the manufacturing, professional services, real estate management and development industries. Michael is a leader within the firm’s International Practice Group, as well as the Technology Practice Group. Michael resides in Montgomery with his wife and their two sons.
