GILTI and BEAT: What They Are and What They Mean for U.S. Multinational Corporations
Michael joined the firm in 2004 and is a Member in the firm’s Specialized Tax Division. Michael leads the International Tax Practice and has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in corporate international tax planning, expatriate and U.S. nonresident tax planning and compliance. He spent the first half of his career in Atlanta focusing on international corporate tax for a Big 4 accounting firm and moved back to his hometown of Montgomery to help develop the International Tax Practice at Warren Averett. Michael’s other areas of focus are federal and state tax consulting and compliance for individuals and their businesses, specifically tailored towards the technology, professional services and real estate industries. Michael is also a member of the firm’s Technology Industry Group. He resides in Montgomery with his wife and has two college-aged sons.
