Rusty Pickering Selected to Serve on the Alabama Society of CPAs’ Board of Directors
Rusty Pickering, CPA, CSC, Director of Recruiting in the firm’s Birmingham accounting and advisory office, has been selected to serve as a member of the Alabama Society of CPAs’ (ASCPA) Board of Directors.
The ASCPA is the professional organization representing Alabama’s CPAs. The organization serves the needs and enhances the value of its members while supporting professional standards and advocating on behalf of the accounting profession. Each of the organization’s officers serves a three-year term.
“It is an honor to serve on the ASCPA’s Board of Directors,” said Rusty. “As someone who works closely with CPAs at every stage of their careers, I am passionate about helping strengthen the profession and supporting the growth and development of accounting professionals across Alabama.”
Rusty joined Warren Averett in 2006 as a CPA. He later gained industry experience before returning to Warren Averett in 2012 as Director of Recruiting. In this role, he oversees internal recruiting efforts for all Warren Averett locations and works with external clients, specializing in executive recruiting for accounting and financial positions, information technology roles, and office and administrative roles. Rusty has more than 15 years of experience in public and industry accounting, allowing him to provide valuable insight into talent needs across the profession.
