Warren Averett Team Presents at AACUBO Conference
Three Warren Averett team members recently presented at the Alabama Association of College and University Business Officers (AACUBO) Annual Conference, which brings together higher education business and finance leaders from colleges and universities across Alabama.
Lee Parks, CPA, and Rick Blanton, CPA, presented Higher Education Audit Pitfalls & Best Practices, covering audit preparation, common audit findings, internal controls, documentation and technology considerations affecting higher education institutions.
Justin Headley, CPA, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, presented AI Governance and Risk Management Hot Topics, a session focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, risk management and practical AI governance considerations for organizations adopting emerging technologies.
Lee is a member of Warren Averett’s Audit Division and serves as the firm’s Public Sector Practice Group Leader. Rick is a member of the firm’s Audit Division and Public Sector Practice Group, where he works extensively with higher education, governmental and nonprofit organizations. Justin is a member of Warren Averett’s Risk Advisory and Assurance Services Team and specializes in cybersecurity, IT risk and governance.
