Warren Averett Goes to Rwanda
Warren Averett knows the importance of giving back, and believes in Sharing Our Success in our communities. Through Compassion International, a faith based organization that focuses on meeting the needs of children in poverty stricken countries, our employees have been given the opportunity to impact children and Share Our Success across the globe.
The Warren Averett team currently sponsors 131 children in Rwanda, primarily in the villages of Nyamata and Nyange. Employees sponsor individual children with monetary support and share letters with the children. Over the years, staff members have made several trips to Rwanda – taking donations collected by the Firm, and visiting the families of children Warren Averett has helped to sponsor.
On Wednesday, July 5, 2017, the Firm sent out a team of five employees Aimee Burgess, Lynn Bius, Missy Herbert, Doug Schauer and Chris Newman to visit our sponsored children and take supplies. We can’t wait to hear the team’s stories and the impact this organization is making in children’s lives in Rwanda!
