Greg Sellers Elected to Serve on the Alabama Federal and State Tax Institute’s Board
Greg Sellers, CPA, AEP®, a Member in the firm’s Tax Division in the Montgomery accounting and advisory office, has been chosen to serve on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer for the Alabama Federal and State Tax Institute (AFSTI).
The Alabama Federal and State Tax Institute was formed after the merger of the Alabama Federal Tax Clinic and the American Institute on Federal Taxation. AFSTI focuses on providing quality educational resources, services and programs to taxation professionals in the Southeast and encourages college students to pursue professional education in the tax field.
A portion of the registration and sponsorship fees from the institute’s programs funds scholarships for students completing graduate level degree programs in Tax Accounting and Law.
Before the merger, Sellers served as a Board Member and Treasurer for the American Institute on Federal Taxation. The Board of Directors is comprised of individuals that represent the entire spectrum of tax practice to ensure that all viewpoints are represented in the planning and implementation of the program.

Sellers is a leader of the firm’s Estate and Trust Service Area. He has more than three decades of experience in public accounting, and he specializes in estate, gift and trust tax planning and compliance. He is an established thought leader, who frequently presents on topics such as estate planning and collaboration among professional advisors.
Sellers is an active participant in the local Montgomery community, where he has held positions with the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery Foundation, the Central Alabama Community Foundation and Montgomery’s Habitat for Humanity.
