Larry Pirkle, CPA

As a Member of Warren Averett, Larry Pirkle serves as the Firm’s Technology and Life Sciences Industry Leader. Larry has over 30 years of experience, with much of it serving companies in the technology and life sciences sector. He has served public and private companies ranging from start-up, development stage enterprises to multinational companies, including clients with varying degrees of private equity financing ownership. Larry has extensive technical experience with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) rules and regulations. In addition to technology, Larry also focuses on serving clients in the government contracting, manufacturing and distribution industries. Larry has considerable experience in assisting clients with due diligence, accounting for software revenue recognition, stock option compensation arrangements, equity transactions and acquisitions. Larry joined Warren Averett in 2003 with 10 years of experience with an international accounting firm. Prior to joining the Firm, Larry was the corporate controller for a national commercial real estate development company. Larry resides in Birmingham with his wife and son.
