Warren Averett Announces New Members

Warren Averett is pleased to announce that ten individuals have been promoted to Members of the Firm.

James L. Cason, III, CPA, Birmingham office, specializes in accounting advisory services, external and other specialized audits, review assurance services and turnaround advisory. James serves clients in the higher education, nonprofit, construction, government, healthcare and M&D industries.

David Crabtree, CPA, Atlanta office, provides assurance services and business advisory with a variety of clients in industries including construction and engineering, ESOPs, M&D, private equity and professional service.  David is the Firm’s service area leader of Atlanta’s audit practice.

Mark Hestla, CPA, Cullman office, consults on various financial reporting and tax planning issues for closely-held entities. He services clients in the manufacturing, construction, transportation and healthcare industries. Mark also serves as a leader within the Transportation Practice Group.

Derek Johnson, Tampa office, leads the Staffing & Recruiting team in Tampa area. Utilizing his business development background, Derek focuses his recruiting efforts in the accounting, IT, and engineering fields, connecting clients to top talent.

Ross LeBlanc, CPA, Fort Walton Beach office, serves businesses and individuals in tax planning and compliance. Ross is also proficient in compilation and review services, and specializes in construction and manufacturing industries.

Joseph McNair, CFP®, JD, CPA, Pensacola office, serves in our asset management division, and specializes in comprehensive financial planning and institutional investment consulting. In addition to being a Certified Financial PlannerTM, he is an attorney licensed in Florida and Georgia, and a Certified Public Accountant.

Paul Perry, FHFMA, CITP, CISM, CPA, Birmingham office, focuses on risk assessment, internal control and information technology control related projects including Service Organization Controls (SOC) engagements. He is responsible for general consulting projects for the Firm and is the leader of the Firm’s Data Analysis Group.

Megan Randolph, CPA, Birmingham office, serves federal and state tax needs of large nonprofit and governmental entities. She also works with manufacturing companies, private equity investment funds, and international, state and local taxation. Megan is the Firm’s service area leader of Birmingham’s tax practice.

Chris Reyer, CPA, Birmingham office, works with family owned businesses in industries including real estate, construction, transportation/logistics, and dealerships. He specializes in family investment partnerships, entity structure, federal and state tax planning, estate and succession planning, profitability enhancement and general business consulting.

Chris Smith, CPA, Birmingham office, specializes in audit engagements for large not-for-profit and governmental entities. He has extensive experience assisting public sector clients with federal award compliance requirements. He also provides audit and accounting advisory services for clients in the manufacturing and healthcare industries.
