Advisors Attend Business Insights Leadership Exchange

Huntsville’s Amber Stout, CPA and Birmingham’s Jennifer Pemble, CPA, CFE, CHBC were in New York City for CPA.com’s Business Insights Leadership Exchange. They were part of a small group of 35 participants invited to engage with other leaders and share insights.

Montgomery Young Professionals Volunteer with Service Dogs Alabama

Team members in the Montgomery office recently volunteered with Service Dogs Alabama, which is a nonprofit organization that trains and places service dogs for individuals with medical and psychiatric disabilities, as well as facility intervention dogs for schools, justice centers and hospitals. Huntsville Office Hosts Field Day

Our Huntsville team put on their game faces for a good old-fashioned field day. Team members cheered each other on as they solved puzzles, played tug of war and ran relay races.

Charles Bailey Serves as the Southeastern Alternative Funds Association’s Board President

Atlanta’s Charles Bailey, CPA, a Member in the Audit Division and the Alternative Investments Industry Group Leader, is serving as the Southeastern Alternative Funds Association’s (SEAFA) Board President. As SEAFA’s Board President, he hopes to make a meaningful impact on fellow industry professionals and build a strong, collaborative community. Mindy Rankin Serves on The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s Legislative Support Committee

Panama City’s Mindy Rankin, CPA, CCD, a Member in the Tax Division, is serving on the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s (NASBA) Legislative Support Committee for the 2025-2026 year. The Legislative Support Committee’s current agenda is to develop legislative support strategies and tactics to assist in supporting the Boards of Accountancy. Jeri Groce Writes Article for CentrAL Inc!

Montgomery’s Jeri Groce, CPA, a Member in the Audit Division, recently wrote an article for CentrAL INC! In her article, Jeri explains that nonprofits often drift from their original mission when new opportunities or funding arise. To combat that, she suggests that nonprofits track expenses and revenue by program, involve the finance team in decision-making and develop clear grant acceptance policies. Claire Duren Participates in Leadership Northwest Florida

Pensacola’s Claire Duren, CPA, a Senior Manager in the Tax Division, has been selected to participate in Leadership Northwest Florida’s Class IV, which is a program designed to help professionals expand their knowledge, grow their networks and sharpen their skills.
