Warren Averett’s own Clint Freeman, CPA was recently featured in the Montgomery Business Journal’s Content Expert feature. Content Expert is a segment of the Journal that highlights insight from professionals in and around Montgomery about common topics and points of discussion in the business arena.

In this feature, Clint weighed in on the topic of sell-side due diligence and what to consider if you are preparing to sell your business. Clint advised business owners who are looking to sell to first consider certain aspects of value creation, including high-level goals, business attractiveness and personal readiness, among other factors. He also spoke to the importance of the sell-side due diligence process, which can not only provide clarity for a buyer, but can also facilitate strategic preparation for the seller.

Clint said, “Performing sell-side due diligence is an advantage all around, and it’s a game-changer when it comes to selling a business. I was so glad to have the opportunity to share just a small piece of the picture of sell-side due diligence in the Journal’s Content Expert, and I hope that it’s beneficial for those who read it.”
