Baron Wells joined Warren Averett in 2017 and serves as a Senior Manager in the Audit Division. He specializes in delivering audit and consulting services for clients in the alternative investment industry and for employee benefit plans, ensuring compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements. With more than eight years of public accounting experience, Baron provides strategic guidance to help clients navigate complex audit and compliance challenges. His expertise spans a wide range of alternative investment vehicles, including hedge funds (single- and multi-strategy), private equity, venture capital, real estate funds and fund of funds (FOF). He also assists clients with SEC Custody Rule audits and Form 5500 filings. Beyond client service, Baron is committed to mentoring emerging professionals and driving process improvements within the firm. He currently lives in Canton, Georgia, with his wife, four children and a house full of animals.
