Paul Perry Appointed as the Alabama Society of CPAs’ Chair-Elect

Paul Perry, FHFMA, CISM, CITP, CPA, CDPSE, a Member in the firm’s Birmingham accounting and advisory office, has been appointed as Chair-Elect for the Alabama Society of CPAs’ (ASCPA) Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 year.

The ASCPA is the professional organization representing Alabama’s CPAs. They serve the needs and enhance the values of their members, while supporting professional standards and advocating on behalf of the accounting profession. Each of the organization’s officers serves a three-year term.

“It is an honor to serve on the ASCPA’s Board of Directors as the Chair-Elect,” said Perry. “My time on the Board has already been so fulfilling, and I can’t wait to use my experience to further support the ASCPA, the Birmingham community and other CPAs throughout the state.”

Paul Perry joined Warren Averett in 2004. He is a Member and the Practice Leader of Warren Averett’s Risk Advisory & Assurance Services Group. Perry and his team focus on cybersecurity, information technology related projects, risk assessments, internal controls and more. Perry is a thought leader, a published columnist and a regular speaker on topics such as cybersecurity, data analysis, ESG, internal controls and information technology.
