Stephen Perkins Appointed as Board Chair for the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce
Stephen Perkins, CPA, a Member in the firm’s Fort Walton Beach accounting and advisory office, has been appointed to serve as the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Board Chair.
The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce is a community development organization that advocates for businesses across Okaloosa County with the goal of creating greater opportunities for all. They accomplish this by bringing together the business, governmental and cultural leaders of the area and providing business promotion, advocacy of local issues and community service opportunities.
Perkins has been involved with the Chamber for several years and previously served as the Treasurer. He is a strong advocate for the Fort Walton Beach community.
Known for his passion for cars, Perkins is integrating that theme into his tenure as Board Chair, adopting the mission to “Keep Driving Forward.” His goal is to boost engagement among young professionals, nurturing them to become the next generation of community leaders.
“The Chamber has a great staff, and I am honored to serve on such an incredible team,” says Perkins. “I look forward to my term as Board Chair, and I am committed to nurturing and empowering our community’s young professionals. Their involvement is instrumental in shaping a brighter future for Fort Walton Beach, and I cannot wait to see the positive impact that we create together.”
Stephen Perkins is a Member in the firm’s Tax Division. He joined Warren Averett in 2014 and has more than nine years of public accounting experience. His primary responsibilities include tax planning and reviewing, as well as preparing returns for businesses and individuals. His wife works in Warren Averett’s Audit Division, and they live in Fort Walton Beach.
