Claire Duren and Sam Yeager-Allen Present at The Spring Entrepreneur Hub’s Workshop

Warren Averett’s very own Claire Duren, CPA, a Tax Manager, and Sam Yeager-Allen, CPA, a Tax Supervisor, of the firm’s Pensacola accounting and advisory office, recently presented at The Spring Entrepreneur Hub’s workshop, How to Manage Small Business Finances.

The Spring is an entrepreneur hub in Pensacola, Florida that seeks to serves as the front door to the entrepreneur ecosystem. They offer a three-prong approach that brings resources and focus to local area small businesses. Their main focus is to increase capital investment and expand new and existing businesses in the Pensacola community.

The How to Manage Small Business Finances workshop took place on August 11, where attendees gained a better understanding of necessary financial documents and reports, knowledge on how to create an operating budget, confidence to start managing cash flow efficiently and answers to questions specific to various local businesses.

“I enjoyed presenting at the How to Manage Small Business Finances workshop,” said Yeager-Allen. “As the daughter of a small-business owner, I have always been passionate about working with and helping small-business owners. We had great interaction from the business owners in this workshop, and it was very rewarding to teach them a little bit about how reading financial reports, managing cash flows and creating operating budgets can help them grow their businesses. I am looking forward to other events like this in the future!”

Sam Yeager-Allen joined Warren Averett in 2021 and is a Supervisor in the firm’s Tax Division. She has more than 14 years of public accounting experience. Yeager-Allen’s primary responsibilities include tax compliance for individuals, C-corporations, S-corporations and partnerships. Yeager-Allen also works with Warren Averett’s Learning Department to assist with employee training.

“We were honored to have the opportunity to present at this workshop and help Pensacola area entrepreneurs gain knowledge that will support their growth,” said Duren. “Knowing how to read and use financial reports is an important skill, and we were thrilled to partner with The Spring to help local leaders thrive.”

Claire Duren joined Warren Averett in 2015 and is a Manager in the firm’s Tax Division. She has more than 10 years of public accounting experience. Her primary responsibilities include assisting small businesses and nonprofit organizations with tax advisory and compliance needs.
